Over the years, and with the effects of climate change, drought has adversely affected wildlife in Kenya, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) said as reports of the death of wild animals especially buffaloes have emerged endangering the already few count. This has also affected water pans, grasslands, and seasonal rivers have dried up as a result of drought and “the prolonged drought has affected wildlife in parks, reserves, sanctuaries, and even unprotected areas. Meander Africa Safaris have partnered with Kenya Wildlife service and we participate in annual tree plating events at Nairobi National Park. We also donate Hay- to feed wild animals in most affected areas like Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks.
This program is an on-going campaign that solicits books and other learning materials donations from interested clients and other parties. Tuiyobei Primary school is located in remote highlands of Kericho County. With a population of approximately 400 students, all from vulnerable families, 90% of the kids here walk to school bare footed and because of poverty in the community, most parents cannot afford to cater all their needs. Meander Africa Safaris with the help of its partners have been donating learning materials to the students. It also plans to build classrooms, Toilets and teachers staffrooms. We also plan to provide clean piped water to the school. The campaign adopt a class is in the pipeline and it will be one of the major long term projects that that Meander Africa Safaris Limited intends to adopt.
